Why should I
Pick up this pen today,
And write-
Fight
For injustice,
Only to realise
It has been few words,
Few thoughts,
Few beliefs
And few sheets

This pen
Has endured many years,
Many struggles-
Ones which bear fruit
On the fertile land of life-
All of these in oblivion,
Yet the pen exists,
Yet the world persists
With what goes on.

I will not
Pick up this pen
Today and tomorrow,
I will not sacrifice
What words painted in ink mean
When the world
Is yet to learn
How to read.
